Just like ‘Live and let live,’ how nice it would have been if people could give a thought to ‘Love and let love’. We live in a kind of society where an older man marrying a young woman is looked up as some sort of great achievement. But when it comes to a woman dating or marrying a younger guy, all hell breaks loose. People don’t bat an eyelid before judging such women. I wonder how long it will take for the people to be little more sensitive and a lot more mature.
Ever since Malaika Arora‘s relationship with Arjun Kapoor has grabbed the headlines, every second day we come across stories of the actress being criticised by the netizens or being trolled for simply living her life the way she wants to. In a recent interview, Malaika opened up about how everyone deserves a second chance in love.
Malaika was married to Arbaaz Khan for around two decades before their relationship went kaput. The couple shares a 16-year-old son Arhaan. Opening up about how in a country like India, it is still a taboo for a woman to take a second chance in love, Malaika told IANS, “It is a taboo because there are a lot of situations and issues that need to be tackled in our country, though I think the issue needs to be looked at with an open mind.”

She further specified, “A little more sensitivity (is needed), as opposed to being harsh and callous and negative towards things. I think it is important to be inclusive. When I talk of second chances, I’m thinking of making the most of second chances. I think everybody should be given a second chance.”
Talking about dealing with trolls, the ‘Chaiyya Chaiyaa’ girl said that the best way to deal with them is to give them zero attention. She has never given any importance to negativity or trolls and that’s how things should be handled by everyone.
Malaika is really an inspiration and the sooner netizens learn to value that the better.
