‘Malang’: Goa will be recreated in Mauritius for Aditya Roy Kapur-Disha Patani starrer

Ever since we found out about Mohit Suri’s ‘Malang’, we have not been able to keep calm. Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Akshay Oberoi, the film will be a dark action thriller with all characters having shades of grey.

According to a source close to Mumbai Mirror, the film will revolve around five characters and the story will be based in Goa. However, owing to Goa’s overcrowded beaches, the makers will recreate the setting in Mauritius. “It isn’t easy to shoot on the beaches of Goa in the months of April and May as that’s a busy time for tourism. Mauritius was chosen to avoid overcrowded spaces and because their landscapes are similar,” the source informed the tabloid.

Apparently, the film will go on floors in April and will be shot in a 50-60 day start to finish schedule.

In a statement, director Mohit Suri said, “With ‘Malang’, I am essentially returning to a genre I enjoy the most. It will be intense, edgy and mad. I hope ‘Malang’ is as thrilling and exciting an experience for the audience to see as much as it has already been for me.”
