Mandana Karimi shares a heartfelt poem protesting against the honour killing of 14-year old Romina Ashrafi

Mandana Karimi is one of those actresses who never shies away from calling a spade a spade.  She may be away from movies for a little while now, but the pretty lady has been keeping her fans updated about all that’s happening in her life via her social media. From her travels to her varied advertising works and web shows, she makes sure she keeps her fans hooked onto her social media page. In her latest post, she shared a heartfelt poem by Forough Farrokhzad talking about the recent honour killing of 14-year old Romina Ashrafi for having eloped from her house amidst the Coronavirus crisis.

I am naked as silence between words of love,

We must say, the honour killing has been devastating, and not only people in Iran are protesting against it, but people all over the world are also talking about the shameful act.

Mandana, who is an Iranian by birth, has shown her support towards Romina Ashrafi by sharing this poem. We stand with you Mandana. Kudos for having the courage to speak up against the crime.
