Mandira Bedi resumes work after husband Raj Kaushal’s demise; says, ‘The show must go on’

Actress Mandira Bedi, on Tuesday, shared a picture of her from the set. She posted the picture on her Instagram handle and captioned it with #backtowork though we are clueless about the nature of her recent shoot. Just a couple of days back he posted a video on positive affirmations she has been working on. In the clip, the actress says, “I welcome every opportunity of operating from outside of my comfort zone. I am not guided by fear. I am guided by love and gratitude,” joining her palms in namaste and then forming a heart.

Mandira lost her husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal to cardiac arrest in Mumbai, nearly a month ago. He was 49. The actress’ friends and wellwishers could not help but shower praises on Mandira for her strength and positive approach to life. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana replied to the video with a heart emoji. Actors Nandish Sandhu and Gul Panag too commented with a bunch of heart emojis. Actress and entrepreneur Aashka Goradia said, “You are (heart emojis).”

Several followers and fans of Mandira Bedi described her to be an “inspiration” and a symbol of “strength”. Sometime back she also posed for her daughter Tara at home. As Tara, clicked a picture after a workout. Sharing the image, Mandira said, “When my little girl asks me to smile after some post-workout endorphins are doing their thing…How can I refuse?” She added the hashtag “begin again.”

Raj Kaushal a 49-year-old filmmaker Mandira’s husband passed away on 30 June from cardiac arrest in Mumbai.  Mandira Bedi has featured in popular television shows like CID, 24 and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and is best known for her titular role in Shanti. She was also a part of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Mandira Bedi has also hosted shows such as Fame Gurukul, Indian Idol Junior and India’s Deadliest Roads. She also featured in both the seasons of the web-series Thinkistan. She was last seen in the multilingual 2019 thriller drama Saaho, which starred Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.
