Mandira Bedi opens up about trying to adopt a girl since two years; says, “I’ve already thought of a name”

Mandira Bedi has been a hands-on mom to her 8-year-old son Vir Kaushal and she has been an inspiration to many moms. But, the actress is looking to make one more addition to her family for almost two years but hasn’t been able to. The actress wants to adopt a baby girl but nothing seems to work out.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Mandira said that she had applied at the CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority), it is the central adoption agency through which all adoptions in India take place. But she says, “Unfortunately, the procedure hasn’t moved forward since then. I’m eagerly waiting to get approval from them so that we can bring a new addition to our family.”

Talking about why she wants to adopt she said, “Raj (Kaushal, her husband) and I wanted a sister for Vir. My son is eight and we are looking at adopting a girl who could be between two-and-a-half to four-years-old. We have already thought of a name for her. We are going to call her Tara.”

But the actress hasn’t given up hope yet as she says motherhood is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to her. There is so much that she learned from her son. She says that Vir speaks like a wise old man at times and tells her, “Mumma… I just love the feeling of love.”
