Manikarnika: Ankita Lokhande’s first look from this Kangana-starrer is as fierce as it gets

The popular face of television Ankita Lokhande best remembered for her TV series ‘Pavitra Rishta’ is all geared up for her Bollywood debut. She will be seen in the role of Jhalkaribai in the historical ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ which stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead.

Her first look as Jhalkaribai is here and she seems all set for a battle. The actress has finished shooting most of the portions and only some days of work is pending.

For those unaware, Jhalkaribai was one of the lesser known warriors in Rani Laxmibai’s army. The actress learned horse-riding as a part of the prep.

The movie was mired in a controversy after Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha staged protests, but thankfully they withdrew the protests later on after producer of the film, Kamal Jain assured them that there is no distortion of historical facts.
