Another clash of movies seems to be on the anvil. Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ will lock horns with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra-starrer ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’. While there has been no official confirmation of the release date of ‘Manikarnika’, a trade expert has tweeted the release to be August 3.

Makers of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ had officially announced the release date of the movie quite sometime back. So, if the release date of ‘Manikarnika’ remains to be the same, then both the movies will surely clash on August 3 this year. But it isn’t only the released ate that keeps Manikarnika in news. After protests against ‘Padmaavat’, Kangana’s movie is also facing protests from a Brahmin group of Rajasthan. They claim that the movie is based on Jaishree Misra’s book ‘Rani’ and according to it, there is a love sequence between Rani Laxmibai and a British official, so the movie too would contain such a scene. However, the producer of the movie, Kamal Jain exclusively spoke to Bollywood Bubble that there’s no truth to what they claim. So with the ongoing protests against the movie, let’s see if it really manages to stick to its new release date.
