Manoj Bajpayee’s father passes away at 83; actor rushes to Delhi

Manoj Bajpayee’s father, R.K Bajpayee passed away today morning. He breathed his last on Sunday morning, October 3. R.K Bajpayee was 83. According to the sources, Manoj’s father’s condition was very critical the past few days. It was last month that Manoj’s father was unwell. He was hospitalised in Delhi due to his health. Manoj had stopped the shoot of his next to be with his beloved father. As per the reports, the actor has rushed to Delhi to be with his family in a time of grief.

The Family Man actor was earlier shooting in Keral for his upcoming venture. However, after hearing about his father’s demise, the actor rushed back to Delhi to be with his family. As per the report, the funeral of Bajpayee’s father will be held at 1:30 PM at Nigam Bodh Ghat, Delhi.

Avinash Das, director of SHE took to his Twitter to condole the death of actor Manoj Bajpayee’s father. He penned a heartfelt note. The actor wrote, “Manoj Bhaiya’s father is no more. Missing the moments spent with him. I took this picture in Bhitiharwa Ashram. He was a man of great endurance. Always kept himself away from his son’s success. He was a great man. Prayers. (sic)”

Speaking with ANI, the actor mentioned how his father had pushed him to complete his education before uprising a career in acting. Manoj shared how he came from a village in Bihar to Delhi.

Manoj Bajpayee shared a close bond with his parents. He often spoke about his close bond. The actor had even shared that his parents had named him after their favourite actor Manoj Kumar. He has even credited his father for supporting his dream of being an actor.

Work-wise, Manoj Bajpayee recently won the Best Actor Award at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his performance in the web series ‘Family Man 2’. The actor has films Kurup and Despatch in his kitty.
