Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most renowned talents in the film industry known for being a part of content-rich movies. From Gangs of Wasseypur, Gulmohar, Bandaa, and many more, the actor has impressed his audience to quite an extent and he continues to do so. Now, the actor has opened up about not being very fluent in English. He also recalled how he was mocked by his friends in earlier days.
Manoj Bajpayee recalls being teased over speaking poor English
Ahead of Killer Soup release, Manoj Bajpayee got into a conversation with Indian Express. He shared how he wanted to transform himself into a whole new person after being enrolled at Delhi University. As Manoj came from a small town in Bihar, he shared that he had never experienced anything like this as he had got to see ‘urban behaviour patterns, education, knowledge, diction…’
Manoj Bajpayee revealed that he was not fluent in English when he first arrived in the country’s capital. Having poor English became a source of amusement for his friends. The actor said,“I’m from Bihar, so our pronunciation was all haywire. DU has played a major part in shaping me.”
Speaking about the same, Manoj recalled, “All my roommates would fun of me whenever I used to try and speak in English. So, I started entertaining them with my bad spoken English. I said, ‘If I don’t speak, I’ll never learn. So, let me entertain them’. They used to fall down laughing.”
Well, the audience is eagerly waiting for Killer Soup to begin streaming on Netflix from 11th January, 2024. Manoj Bajpayee will be seen alongside Konkona Sen Sharma in a bizarre crime thriller.
