Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur as per Hindu and Christian traditions. The couple shared the first pictures of their nuptials that garnered much love from fans and friends alike. Mariah Smith a journalist from New York’s popular magazine The Cut wrote an article in which she labeled the Indian star as a “modern-day scam artist”. No sooner was the article made public not only Twitterati but also Priyanka’s in-laws and friends erupted in an outrage against the writer.
The Cut soon took down the controversial article and also issued an apology. They wrote, “An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We’ve removed it and apologize.” Now the writer Mariah Smith, too has taken the full responsibility and apologized for the same.

Recently at an event when the ‘Quantico’ star was asked to comment on the controversial article she responded that she is in a happy space and these things to not disturb her. Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, too had reacted saying that she doesn’t wish to give publicity to the fools.
