Marriage on Alia Bhatt’s mind, lady wants to settle down early in life…

She is doing exceptionally well in her Bollywood career and future sure seems to be bright for her. But at the same time, Alia Bhatt wants to have a balanced personal life. Alia, whose love life makes it to the news frequently because of her on and off relationship with Sidharth Malhotra, recently spoke her mind and revealed her thoughts about marriage.

In her interview with Hindustan Times, Alia said that she wants to settle down early in her life and this decision of her’s is not going to hamper her Bollywood career in any way. She said, “I want to settle down early in life because I have an advantage of having started off (in career) very early. That way (getting married), I can get done with it and continue (in my career). Also, I don’t want to settle down too late in life because that also has it’s own issues. But honestly, I am not thinking about it or planning as of now.”

Citing the example of Kareena Kapoor, Alia quipped that gone are the days when an actress’ Bollywood career came to an end with her marriage. She said, “Earlier we used to say that an actress’ shelf life lasts only until she gets married. But I don’t think that’s true anymore. That has completely changed especially with the way Bebo has gone about her marriage and even her pregnancy. Even after getting married, she did really well in a few tough films. And now, although she delivered a baby a few months back, she is readying to get back to shooting. I think that’s the way it should be for an actor. You shouldn’t stop to acting just because you settle down, and I also don’t plan to go that way.”
