We informed you this morning that Meera Chopra’s father Sudesh Chopra met with an unfortunate incident in Delhi. He was robbed at knifepoint, and Meera reported the case to the Delhi Police department and she questioned her family’s safety in the national capital. We spoke to Meera right away after hearing about the incident. The ‘Section 375’ actress spoke up about the swift help from the police.
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Meera said, “It was a scary moment. Anything could have happened if he would have resisted a bit. But I’m glad Delhi police came forward to help. I hope they catch the people responsible soon.”

Talking about the unfortunate incident with her dad, Meera took to her Twitter handle to inform the Delhi Police about the crime. “@DelhiPolice my dad was taking a walk in #policecolony. 2 guys came in a scooter, showed knife and snatched his phone. This is how safe you claim Delhi to be. @ArvindKejriwal @CPDelhi (sic),” she wrote in her tweet.

Later, Delhi Police replied to the actress and asked her for more details. She wrote back, “Fir no: NWD-MT-000568 at prince road near pcr police line, model town. Can send you the contact number in direct msg or some email (sic).” Meera was also thankful to Delhi Police for their quick action and she said she feels proud and protected.

Thankfully Meera and her father are safe now. We hope the police is able to nab the criminals behind this incident soon enough.
On the work front, Meera was last seen in ‘Section 375’ with Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha. Her upcoming film includes ‘Mogali Puvvu’ which is a Telugu film and it will be dubbed in Hindi too.
