Alankrita Shrivastava directorial ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha‘ is making the right kind of noise among the audience. The trailer of the film which Censor Board did not want us to see because it was a ‘lady-oriented’ film, has garnered immense response from the audience. It proved to be a tight slap on the face of Censor Board when people whole-heartedly supported the film. Not just this, the makers started with a #LipstickRebellion campaign to promote the film and even this campaign proved to be a path breaker. It encouraged women to let go of their inhibitions and embrace freedom. Much to our and makers’ delight, men too have come out in support of this campaign. Arjun Kapoor, recently took to his social media page to become a part of this campaign.
With lipstick sticking out with his middle finger, Arjun has posted a picture on Instagram with caption, “Don’t let anyone tell you what to do. Don’t let anyone tell you how to be. Here’s to all you amazing women out there: make your own rules! Real Men stand with strong women. Since Always. #MenForLipstick #LipstickRebellion.” [sic]
It’s time for change, it’s for freedom!
