‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is probably one of the most important films in Farhan Akhtar’s career. It not only gave him a new stature as an actor, but it also remains one of the most loved biopics in Hindi cinema. Farhan Akhtar, who essayed athlete Milkha Singh’s character in the film, is deeply affectionate towards him in real life.

Farhan, in the film, plays an aspiring singer who is falsely accused of murder and lands up behind the bars. There starts another journey as he forms a band inside the jail. The film is based on true story and is inspired by ‘Healing Hearts’, a musical band consisting of 12 lifetime prisoners from Lucknow Central Jail.
Also starring Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Rajesh Sharma among others, ‘Lucknow Central’s is set to hit the screens on September 15.
