Milkha Singh was undoubtedly the pride of the nation as he was fondly called ‘The Flying Sikh’. Well, the nation has lost another gem as Milkha Singh passed away after he lost his battle to Covid-19. The ace athlete had tested positive for COVID-19 last month and but later he had recovered and tested negative on Wednesday. Singh was shifted to the general ICU ward that was in another block of the hospital, but unfortunately, his condition turned critical Friday evening. Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu, Akshay Kumar and others were seen giving their condolences and remembering the great legend.
Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter and paying his respects he wrote, “The Flying Sikh may no longer be with us in person but his presence will always be felt and his legacy will remain unmatched… An inspiration to me… an inspiration to millions. Rest in Peace Milkha Singh sir.”
