Mimoh Chakraborty rubbishes reports of his father Mithun Chakraborty being Covid positive; says, ‘He is absolutely hale and hearty’

Earlier today there were reports that actor-politician Mithun Chakraborty tested Covid positive and has quarantined himself at home. Well, Mithun’s son Mimoh Chakraborty has rubbished the rumours in his statement and said that his father is Covid negative. He called these rumors wrong and baseless.

Mimoh also said that his father is continuing with his work. He is hale and hearty. Mimoh has said, “Dad is fine. He is working on the show and as well as for the people back in West Bengal. He is absolutely hail and hearty by the grace of God and the love and blessings of his fans. He continues to inspired m every day to work extremely hard and stay positive at all times. Not the covid positive I must say. We have to take all the SOPs very seriously and follow as directed. This is a war we can’t lose to this pandemic.”

Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed with the EC against Mithun for violating Covid-19 protocols. The TMC on Saturday claimed that BJP leaders Dilip Ghosh and actor Mithun Chakraborty have violated the protocols by organizing public meetings that were attended by more than 500 people.

Senior TMC leader Saugata Roy told reporters in Kolkata that Mithun Chakraborty along with Mr Ghosh, the state BJP president had public meetings at Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda districts violating the guidelines given by the EC. The EC has banned such gatherings or political rallies due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in West Bengal and other states.
