Mira Kapoor just taught us that it’s perfectly cool to rewear your wedding jewellery!

It’s the bitter truth that most brides almost forget that their super expensive wedding jewellery exists as these treasures are lying somewhere in the jewellery boxes. What’s the point of having spent so much on those statement baubles if you can’t ever wear them after the big day? That’s exactly why we love how Mira Kapoor wore her wedding jewellery as it might just inspire so many of us to do the same. Recently, Mira along with hubby Shahid Kapoor had flown to Delhi to attend a close friend’s wedding. For the occasion, the star wife chose a gorgeous ivory lehenga from designer Anjul Bhandari. The muted number had embellishments all over it along with a navy-coloured border that had gold embroidery. Since the outfit was extremely subtle, she accentuated it with a chunky pearl and semi-precious stones necklace and colourful dangling earrings.

Mira looked resplendent, but we soon realised that she was wearing the same neckpiece and earrings she had donned on her wedding day with her pink Anamika Khanna lehenga. How could we possibly forget that mesmerising wedding look that had introduced the beautiful ‘Mrs Kapoor’ to the world?

On a closer look, we think that she did modify the neckpiece slightly to make it less ‘bridal’ and probably got rid of those bright orange and exquisite pearl stones. And we think that was a fantastic decision as it made the jewellery appropriate for a friend’s marriage function. The necklace and earrings are quite versatile, courtesy the myriad colours and they can be clubbed with almost any Indian outfit.

Mira Rajput certainly knows how to recycle her striking wedding accessories and gave us a chance to remember her fairytale wedding moments once again.
