Mira Rajput recalls her first meeting with Shahid Kapoor on ‘Koffee With Karan 5’

Ever since the news of Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput all set to make an appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan 5’ resurfaced, everyone is excited to know how interesting the episode will be. The fact that it will be Mira’s first appearance on a talk show makes it even better.

The couple was asked by host Karan Johar as to how did they meet each other and how was the initial period like. The couple stated that Sasha’s father Pankaj Kapur and mother Supriya Pathak met Mira for dinner in Delhi. A source close to an entertainment portal said, “Back then, she didn’t know why she was meeting them. Mira wasn’t interested in Bollywood and only met Shahid a few days later. When an arranged marriage was broached, they were awkward. They spent seven hours together, chatting about their lives, likes and dislikes. They had nothing in common and so there was a lot of scope to know each other better. At the end of that meeting, they both wanted to meet again.”

Also, Mira’s confidence impressed Sasha as when Shahid asked Mira about the 13 years age difference between the two, she quickly shot back saying, ‘Do you mind being married to a girl 13 years younger?’ The insider further stated, “They met for another six months till they got engaged. When they were courting, Shahid was busy with the shoot of ‘Udta Punjab’. Soon after, they got married.”

Mira also added that her favorite movie of Shahid Kapoor is undoubtedly ‘Jab We Met’.
