‘Mirzapur’: Amazon Prime Video and Excel Entertainment present yet another gripping story

Ever since Amazon Prime Video Original and Excel Media Entertainment’s ‘Mirzapur’ has been available for streaming the series has created a rage amongst the audience. ‘Mirzapur’ has been hailed by the viewers for all the good reasons be it the gripping storyline, the performances of the leading cast or even the powerful direction.

Even though the series is a fictional story but it has been presented in a very realistic manner and the makers of the show have explored the region of Purvanchal in Uttar Pradesh very beautifully.

Interestingly it’s not the first time Amazon Prime Video and Excel Media have represented reality so beautifully in their series. Previously they had represented the dark side of the cricketing world in their fictional series ‘Inside Edge’ which also got nominated at Emmy awards.

The first season of ‘Mirzapur’ is touted as a thrilling and gripping crime drama. The series stars an ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Amit Sial promising a powerhouse of talent in the same frame.

Created by Puneet Krishna and Karan Anshuman, ‘Mirzapur’ is directed by Gurmeet Singh and is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
