Its Official: Manushi Chhillar to make her Bollywood debut with THIS Akshay Kumar starrer

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar has been under the spotlight ever since she bagged the prestigious crown. Post her win, there have been numerous reports about her entering Bollywood but there was no confirmation regarding the same.

Interestingly, the latest reports state that the diva will be finally making her grand entry in Bollywood opposite none other than Akshay Kumar.

Manushi Chhillar will be making her debut in Bollywood opposite Khiladi Kumar in the historical drama ‘Prithviraj’. In the film Akshay will play the role of King Prithviraj and Manushi will play princess Sanyogita.

The historical drama will be directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The director in a statement said, “We auditioned a lot of young, fresh faces for the role because we were looking for a stunningly gorgeous Indian heroine. While Sanyogita was an incredibly beautiful person, she was also a strong, confident girl.”

He further added, “We were looking to find someone who could match the magnetic persona of Sanyogita and we found that in Manushi. She auditioned for the role a couple of times because we wanted to be dead sure with this casting and she nailed it each time. She has been rehearsing six days a week since then and she is being thoroughly groomed for the last 9 months by YRF.”

Talking about her role, Manushi said, “It is a huge honour to have been chosen by a production house like Yash Raj Films as their heroine! I’m thoroughly happy and thrilled about the learnings that I will have through this journey. My life, so far, has really been a fairy-tale.” She said that it is a huge responsibility to play princess Sanyogita and it is a new and exciting chapter in her life.

In September this year, Akshay Kumar had taken to his Twitter handle to share the official motion poster of ‘Prithviraj’.
