After a row of conflicts, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has finally allowed the release of Karan Johar‘s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The decision was taken after Johar sat for a discussion with Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Raj Thackeray, Chief of MNS.
Following the terror attack in Uri, MNS had demanded a ban on all Pakistani artistes working in India and also opposed the release of ‘ADHM’ which features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. All this while, we saw how the entertainment fraternity was divided in terms of opinion as to whether showcase of Pakistani artistes should be allowed or not. While a distressed Karan Johar kept pleading the administration to understand how the film, if banned, would cause severe loss to so many, MNS were rather rigid on their stand.
