Monsoon Shootout: Priyanka digitally launches Nawazuddin-starrer trailer from NY

Priyanka Chopra is certainly one of those celebs who has always shown her support and has promoted good content-driven films. It was just yesterday when Bollywood Bubble had reported that the actress-producer will be the one who will be digitally launching the trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vijay Varma’s upcoming film ‘Monsoon Shootout’. And today, the actress from New York took to Twitter to share the trailer of ‘Monsoon Shootout’ which is also India’s first interactive trailer.

The actress shared the link to the trailer captioning it, “Shoot or not to shoot? YOU get to decide what happens next in the trailer for #MonsoonShootout what a cool idea! But how did Priyanka Chopra come on board to launch the trailer of ‘Monsoon Shootout’? Producer of the film Guneet Monga reveals in her statement, “I reached out to Priyanka to express our desire to have her launch our trailer. She watched the trailer and loved the innovation. Being first of its kind interactive trailer where the audience chooses the ending. It is indeed very kind of her to instantly agree and extend her support. She has produced and supported several independent films. She’s a global icon and an amazingly talented actress who has a great sense of good content. It’s humbling to see someone like her to come forth in support of our film.”

Talking about the film ‘Monsoon Shootout’, it is a riveting psychological thriller about the character of a rookie cop played by Vijay facing Shiva (a murder suspect) played by Nawazuddin. It is about the cop’s dilemma and exploring choices hence facing its consequences.

The film also stars Geetanjali Thapa, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sreejita De and Neeraj Kabi playing pivotal roles in it.

Directed by Amit Kumar, ‘Monsoon Shootout’ will be hitting the screens on December 15, 2017.
