Ranveer Singh and Deepika padukone

The shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum-opus ‘Padmavati‘ reached Jaipur wherein the stars were supposed to shoot in Jaigarh fort. But unfortunately the shooting came to an impromptu halt when a local organisation there started protesting against the film. As per the reports, a local organisation called Karni Sena stalled the shooting of the film, because they feel that the makers are distorting the historical facts in the film so that it appeals to the audience.

A Karni Sena activist, Vikram Singh, was quoted saying, “The film is presenting wrong facts about ‘Padmavati’. Our basic protest is about distortion of historic facts which will not be tolerated.” Post the protest, the organisation officials also met the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to sort the issue.
