Mouni Roy makes for a GLORIOUS bride in red Sabyasachi lehenga

Mouni Roy and her longtime boyfriend Suraj Nambiar are officially husband and wife now. The couple tied the knot in the presence of only their close family and friends in Goa on Thursday, January 27. For the Bengali wedding, Mouni Roy looked absolutely stunning as a Sabyasachi bride and we can’t stop gushing over her wedding lehenga.

Her all-red look came with a sheer dupatta that was draped over the bun. Mouni Roy looked oh-so-stunning in a red lehenga with gold detailing’s during the Bengali wedding ceremony. The lehenga also featured handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and embroidered revival zardozi borders, but what caught our eyes is Mouni’s personalised veil. Mouni also got words in Sanskrit embroidered to her veil’s borders that read, “Aayushmati Bhava”, which means being blessed. Looks like Mouni took cues from Deepika Padukone and Patralekhaa.

On the other hand, groom Suraj Nambiar stood beside his beaming wife as he donned a light-brown coloured sherwani and sehra. We can definitely say that the couple looked like a match made in heaven.

Now, as per latest reports, the couple have their Sangeet celebrations in Goa today. Mouni and Suraj will dance to Pushpa’s Oo Antava from the film. A report in India Today states: “They [Mouni and Suraj] are doing something different. Their sangeet will take place on January 28, after their wedding. Mouni and Suraj will dance to Varun Dhawan’s First Class from Kalank. Their dance is choreographed by Rahul Shetty of Dance India Dance fame.”

Celebrities including Arjun Bijlani, Mandira Bedi, Aashka Goradia Goble, Omkar Kapoor and Jia Mustafa among others attended the wedding in Goa.

Meanwhile, Mouni has been dating Suraj Nambiar for a while now.
