Mouni Roy on ‘Brahmastra’: I was surprised initially that they wanted me to play the villain

Mouni Roy is going from strength to strength in her career. She will be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’. And interestingly, she’ll be playing the main villain in the film.

In an interview with TOI, Mouni said, “I am playing the main villain in the film. I am really looking forward to it. What is more liberating for me is playing different characters that challenge me. I was surprised initially that they wanted me to play the villain.”

Recently, Mouni was also in the news for allegedly being in a relationship with ‘Uri’ actor Mohit Raina. However, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Mouni rubbished the reports and said, “I am completely, absolutely single and the way they say it, in love with my work now. There is no time for anything else. And I am completely enjoying the phase… once there is someone in my life, everyone will get to know about it.”

We really wish Mouni all the best in her personal and professional life. We are looking forward to watch her in ‘Brahmastra’ which is slated to release in Summer 2020.
