EXCLUSIVE: Mrunal Thakur recalls calling Ananya Panday after watching Kho Gaye Hum Kahan: I couldn’t stop myself

There was a time when Bollywood as a industry thrived on stories of artists’ rivalries and them taking jabs on each other. But the current lot of actors don’t shy away from supporting each other. Recently, Ananya Panday revealed that after watching Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Mrunal Thakur called her to praise her. And in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Mrunal recalled the same.

When pointed out about the call, Mrunal praised Ananya saying, “She was so good in the movie. Ananya was really really really good in the movie and I couldn’t stop myself. She was on her holiday and I still called her up. I said I don’t care where you are, I just have to tell you, you’re so good.” She added, “When I like something, I like to appreciate it because that’s what allows those people to perform better in their lives, in their career. When I watched Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, it did make me realize that oh my God, I need to block and mute so many people in my life.”

Mrunal revealed talking to the director Arjun Varain Singh and Siddhant Chaturvedi to appreciate them as well. She shared, “I called up Arjun, the director of the movie. It’s his first film, he’s 29 years old and everybody was so fantastic. Sid was so good. I spoke to him for 45 minutes and I kept telling him that how important it is to resonate with the character. While I’m talking about Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, he is talking about Sita Ramam and films like these. So, it’s so nice that we are in a space where we are discussing movies.”

Mrunal herself is also receiving a lot of love for her latest release Hi Nanna. The actress has given an emotional performance in the film co-starring Nani. And not just Ananya, but Mrunal also came out to support her friend Ankita Lokhande ahead of the Bigg Boss 17 finale. She said, “I want her to win.”
