He has the looks, and has been a part of projects with big-wigs like Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajkummar Rao, but that doesn’t stop Herry Tangiri from taking a cheap dig at Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar. At a time when the whole nation is proud of this feat which Manushi has achieved after 17 years, Tangiri went on his social media account to say something which is not so good.
So, Herry tweeted, “#Chhillar publicity is too much now. Paid media is bringing it to the level of irritation and lacklustre. Let her do something productive now. MBBS n #MissWorld that’s lot of skills, stop making her media toy now.”
Here’s the tweet.

Well, we don’t know what to say about this one. Dear Herry, the media is not paid if it doesn’t talk about you. The day you come up with something significant, we will. However, to demean the whole sector for promoting something which has made us all proud, no, that is not right.
Yes, we all love Manushi and we will keep on writing about her, as we and the whole world are eager to know more about her. Sorry, but this dig of yours comes out as very cheap. Especially the way you have addressed the lady by her last name, making it sound derogatory. (Also Read: WOW! ‘Sarbjit’ and ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ in the Oscars list)
Manushi, who is the first Miss India to win the international pageant after Priyanka Chopra won it in the year 2000, is one intelligent woman whose statements would definitely inspire one. Be it the ongoing issue of ‘Padmavati’, or her answer in the final round which won her the crown, on mothers, everything is something which should be written about and read about. So if the media is reporting about her they are not paid (by her), as is being implied. Plus, she is the only one to have a say on how does she want to utilise her skills, henceforth.
We rest our case.
