Actress Tanushree Dutta recently filed a complaint against Nana Patekar for sexual harassment on the sets of their film ‘Horn OK Pleassss’ ten years ago. Now according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the MSCW has given an ultimatum of ten days to Nana and other people named in Tanushree’s complaint, seeking their reply on the allegations made by the actress. Talking about the complaint, Dutta’s lawyer told ANI, “The complaint has been lodged with the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. Tomorrow, we are going to move the complaint to the District Officer as per the Sexual Harassment Act Section 9.”

The chairperson of the commission, Vijaya Rahatkar said that it is the responsibility of the producers, directors and the associations to make sure that such incidents never happen. “There has to be some redress mechanism to register such complaints within the industry. We have sought a reply from the four in this case. We will also call Tanushree before the commission to put forth her side,” Vijaya said.

Reportedly, the commission has also sought a report from the police about the action they have taken in this matter so far. It has to be seen if these four accused reply to the notice in the given time or not.
