Bollywood’s ageless wonder Anil Kapoor is creating ripples these days with the positive response for his television serial ’24’ season two. The actor who is known for experimenting with diverse roles and looks from his early career is all set to try his hands in a new zone.
Anil, who would be reuniting with his ‘Welcome’ director Anees Bazmee in a project called ‘Mubaraka’, will be seen playing a turbaned Sikh character for the first time. Sharing his excitement, the actor said, “It would be an honour to play a Sardarji. I have a fabulous role in ‘Mubaraka’. I go into this film right after I complete the shooting of my television serial ’24’. ‘Mubaraka’ would be the ideal stress-buster after the intense action and drama in ’24’.”
On teaming up with Anees for the fifth time, Anil who has high regards for the filmmaker said, “He has made some of the biggest hits in the comedy genre without resorting to vulgar double meanings. ‘Mubaraka’ too is completely free of any crudity, and that’s what I love about it. It is one of the most brilliant scripts I’ve come across in the comic genre.”
Apart from the coming together of the chacha bhatija, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor playing the same relationship they share in real life, ‘Mubaraka’ will be the first time when Bazmee will helm a script written by another writer Balwinder Janjua.
“This is a rare occasion when Anees is not directing his own script. And what a script! I also get to work with my nephew Arjun Kapoor. We play chacha-bhatija in the film,” added the actor.
So for all his fans out there, it would be nothing less than a jhakaas delight to see this actor in a new avatar. Are you excited also?
