Speaking to a leading daily, Mukesh Bhatt said, “What we are asking is our legitimate right to conduct business which is the fundamental right of an Indian. The movie is a universal family entertainer. There is no point for a fellow Indian to fight a fellow Indian. Why is an Indian fighting an Indian and making a Pakistani feel victorious? We should be together. You have a different way of expressing your sorrows of what happened in Uri and I am also very upset. But by being upset I don’t have to kill my fellow Indian for no fault of his.”
He further added. “What is important is Diwali is a festival for the entire family and it’s a romantic family entertainer that is coming and keeping the spirit of the festive season in mind, why should we spoil Diwali of our own people. Let them go and enjoy Diwali by seeing a good movie which can facilitate happiness.”
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka releases on the October 28.
