Casting director Mukesh Chabbra who is all set to mark his directorial debut with ‘Kizie Aur Manny’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput, and even after a certain incident of workplace sexual harassment was reported on sets, the director failed to take any action in support of the victim.
It was recently that casting director Mukesh Chabbra was accused of allegedly sexually harassing a budding actress during a casting meeting. And according to reports, there was a similar incident that happened on the sets of his debut directorial venture, where actor Sushant allegedly sexually harassed his co-star, Sanjana Sanghi.
Sources from the film sets in Jamshedpur share, “Sushant made his female co-star very uncomfortable on the sets. He would often invade her personal space and would pass flirtatious comments. His overtly friendly nature had the actress report the matter to Mukesh Sir, who brushed it away as usual behaviour seen in the industry.”
The source further adds,” The next day the actress’ parents too came to the sets to speak to the director about the sexual harassment their daughter was facing on the film sets. Their complaints and concerns too were laughed off by the film maker, who instead asked them to keep a strong gut if their daughter was expecting to have a long run in showbiz.”
Sanjana, who is a debutant is starring opposite Sushant in the Bollywood remake of ‘Fault In Our Stars’.
The incident comes to light against the actor, days after director Mukesh was accused by an aspiring actress for having grabbed her hard and feeling her up during auditions.
Another aspiring actress alleged that the casting director asked her to compromise while on a phone conversation.
