Mukesh Chhabra refutes Rhea Chakraborty’s allegations of consuming drugs; to take legal action against her

Rhea Chakraborty was recently arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and sent to 14-days judicial custody. Prior to that, the actress was interrogated for three consecutive days by NCB. According to a recent report in Times Now, apparently Rhea during her interrogation with NCB has revealed names of several A-listers in the alleged drug cartel. Reportedly Rhea has named actress Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Mukesh Chhabra, and Simone Khambatta among several others.

Now reacting to the ‘Jalebi’ actress’ claim is none other than filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra. The ‘Dil Bechara’ director not only refuted the allegations but also said that he will take legal action against Rhea.

Refuting Rhea’s claims Mukesh Chhabra told Bollywood Hungama, “She is just naming any and everyone randomly. Maybe she thinks it will help her case. But this is not fair. I’ve nothing to do with drugs of any kind. I don’t even smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol, so where’s the question of consuming hard drugs?”

Further accusing Rhea of ruining his reputation and taking revenge, Mukesh added, “She’s taking revenge on me for not speaking up in my defence. I have kept quiet. I decided that is the best way to let the current furore die down. But now by naming me (for consuming drugs) Rhea has seriously compromised my name. I need to clear my reputation.”

Mukesh even revealed that he is now planning to take legal action against Rhea. “We are definitely taking legal action against Rhea. We’re now looking at what remedial legal action is most appropriate. But I’d sincerely advise Rhea to not throw around names to deflect attention from herself. It won’t help her. I can’t speak for others. But my name has been dragged into this purely with malicious intent,” the ‘Dil Bechara’ director said.

Well, let’s see if any other actors, whose name Rhea has allegedly confessed to NCB, come out to speak up in their defence. Until then stay tuned for more updates on this case.
