The veteran actor, renowned for his portrayal of India’s original superhero Shaktimaan, excitedly announced the character’s return to Indian screens, much to the delight of his fans.

In a conversation with ANI, Mukesh Khanna shared his profound connection to the role in Shaktimaan and his enthusiasm for reprising it. “This is a costume within me…I think personally too, in my mind, this costume has come from within me…I did well in Shatimaan because it came from within me…Acting is all about confidence. I forget about the camera when I am shooting…I am even happier than the others about becoming Shaktimaan again,” the actor stated.
Discussing the revival of Shaktimaan for a new audience, he said, “I am carrying out my duty that I started in 1997 and which went on till 2005. I think that my work should reach the public in 2027 because today’s generation is running blindly. They have to be stopped and told to catch their breath.”
Mukesh Khanna announces the return of Shaktimaan
On Sunday, Mukesh announced the return of Shaktimaan on his Instagram, sharing a poster alongside a teaser video that offers a sneak peek into the superhero’s comeback. In the video, Shaktimaan is portrayed as soaring and landing in a school, where he sings a song celebrating freedom while honouring Indian freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Subhash Chandra Bose.
“It’s Time For HIM to RETURN. Our First Indian SUPER TEACHER – SUPER HERO. YES! As Darkness and Evil prevail over today’s children, it’s time for him to come back. He returns with a message. He returns with a lesson for today’s generation. Embrace Him with open arms!!!!!,” his post read.
