We are kind of saturated with news on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘ controversy now. However, one can’t stop pondering over the fact that producer Karan Johar was almost forced to agree to pay a share of his revenue (from ADHM) to the Army Welfare Fund, if he wanted his film to see the light of theaters. While Karan agreed to abide by the condition put across by MNS chief Raj Thackeray, we can’t help but wonder whether this form of forced of patriotism is at all appreciable? Especially when Indian Army itself has refused to either accept the donation or be dragged into any political controversy.
