Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is busy shooting for her upcoming thriller ‘Jazbaa‘. The movie was recently in news for an expensive replica of the Mumbai High Court. The set costing around Rs. 20 lakh was built to shoot some crucial scenes of the movie. Sanjay Gupta will be incurring a loss to the tune of 20 lakhs due to the seasonal rains now.
The shoot of ‘Jazbaa’ had to be cancelled due to excessive downpour. Sanjay Gupta said, “My actors, Aishwarya (Rai), Shabanaji (Azmi), Jackie (Shroff), Chandan Roy Sanyal would have reached the studio but there was no guarantee that they’d be able to make it back safely after the shoot.”
Sanjay Gupta further added, “We photographed the Bombay High Court from the inside because I didn’t want to show the centuries-old courtroom in my film. A lot has changed in the way it is lit up. There are air-conditioners inside too. We have incorporated all the details into the set. The cancellation will cost me at least Rs 20 lakh because you don’t get insurance cover for rains. And getting fresh combination dates may be a problem but I couldn’t take a risk with my actors.”
We do hope that Sanjay Gupta will soon be able to bag the crucial scene for ‘Jazbaa’.
