John Abraham is currently gearing up for his much-awaited next titled Mumbai Saga that also stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. John will play the character of a deadly gangster, Amartya Rao, while Hashmi will be seen as the righteous cop. John has been carving out a niche for himself with his amazing movies and the actor feels he doesn’t need to cater to the trends going on right now.
John said in a media interaction that he focuses on making films that are relatable to the mass and universal audiences. He also said that the trend business is not for him as he is aiming to reach the masses. He said, “My career was made in (single) screens so why can’t I reach out to them and cater to them.”
According to a report by PTI, John told the media at the Mumbai Saga trailer launch, “You must do films that relate to mass and universal audiences and not to people in a fancy theatre. I know what Manya Surve did for me and Sanjay Gupta. It has reliability with large section of audience, especially in the interiors of India, where they remember the characters.”

I want to stay away from trend business. I want to reach out to masses. Mumbai Saga is giving us the opportunity to go back into the masses where we belong to. My career was made in (single) screens so why can’t I reach out to them and cater to them.”
