Mumbai Saga song Shor Machega: Yo Yo Honey Singh’s track ft. John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi lacks the ‘shor’

It’s ‘Machega Machega, Shor Machega’ everywhere. Well, we’re talking about the song, ‘Shor Machega’ from Mumbai Saga. Yes, the makers have finally released the first song from the much-awaited movie, titled, Shor Machega. The song comes days after the trailer of the John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer was released.

Honey Singh and Hommie Dilliwala have written and sung the song. Yo Yo has also donned the music composers’ hat for Shor Machega. Not only this, both Honey Singh and Homie feature in the music video along with Shruti Sinha (Splitsvilla fame) flaunting her amazing dance moves. The video has some intense glimpses of Mumbai Saga leads John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. And the tunes of the song hints towards a thrilling showdown between John and Emraan in the movie.

The song has a jungle-theme backdrop, which is set in the 1980s and ’90s. The beats of the song are catchy, while the rap is quite groovy. The dim-lighting set-up, the shimmery costumes, and Honey Singh’s rowdy look add to the overall feel. However, in this 3-minute long song, you might somewhere feel that it is repetitive and slowly fails to pack a punch.

However, it gives some insights about Mumbai Saga, as we see Emraan Hashmi seated on the table, observing the happenings around. John walks into the venue as Honey and Hommie sing about drugs, alcohol, and black money, hinting towards a probable underworld dealing. While the song is more or less foot-tapping and enthralling, it is the details of the characters and their situations that leave you curious.
