Hindi film’s renowned composer Surendra Sodhi breathed his last today. As per reports, the composer passed away around 4 am and his body will be brought home by afternoon.
Surendra marked his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Deewana’ which was helmed by Raj Kanwar. In his two-decades long career, Surendra has composed background scores for films like ‘Deewana’, ‘Soldier’, ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Baadshah’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Special 26’ to name a few. Apart from being a renowned musician, violinist, pianist and a music director, Surendra was a specialist in composing background scores as well. Throughout his career, Surendra has worked in more than 50 films.
The veteran composer has also composed songs and background scores for other hit films like Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal starrer ‘Dil Hai Tumhaara’, Vatsal Seth starrer ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Dhadkan’.
Surendra Sodhi will be truly missed. May his soul rest in peace.
