Muslim cleric to devotees – Stay away from Salman Khan films on Eid

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan now has clerics raising a voice against his movies. It happened at the biggest mosque in Bhopal. Thousands of devotees had gathered at Bhopal’s Eidgah for the Id-ul-Fitr namaaz. And reportedly the Qazi there asked the devotees to not watch any film on Eid.

As per sources, the Shahar Qazi Syed Mushtaq Nadvi, without naming the star said, “Har saal uski film release hoti hai, aur aap dekhne jaate hain. Meri aap se guzarish hai ki aaj aap koi bhi film dekhne nahin jayen.”

Other Maulavis have not been so subtle. They have been sermonizing, “Salman Khan releases his films on Eid. This year too you may have bought tickets. Tear them apart, don’t go to his film. Don’t go there. He will stop releasing his films on Eid.”

It seems that the clerics are miffed with the Khan after he was spotted with Narendra Modi. They have even utilised mobile apps to circulate their message against the Khan.

However the clerics denied it and cited religious reasons for the same.
