“My Song is not an Item Number” – Sonakshi Sinha

“Go Go Govinda”, Sonakshi Sinha’s musical number with Prabhudeva from her film “Oh My God” is not an item number. She thinks of it as a song with a difference.

“The term ‘item song’ is used very loosely today. Any solo number is termed an item song. This is a good song with Prabhu, and is very different from other item numbers.”, said Sinha during a recent promotional event.

The “Go Go Govinda” video has become popular, as Sinha and Prabhuveda have killed with their dance steps. Both appear only in the song in this movie.

In a scene where people brake Matki, Sinha confided in her feelings about the dance steps, “The human pyramid had only women between the ages of 6 to 60. The sturdier women were at the bottom while the teenagers stood on them and the small kids borke the matki.”

Actress Sonakshi currently busy promoting her upcoming movie with Akshay Kumar ‘Joker’ which is directed by Shirish Kunder.
