Nagarjuna’s Brahmastra character Anish to get a spin-off film? The actor reveals

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has finally hit the screens after a long delay. The movie is on a minting spree at the box office. Fans are in love with the cameos of famous actors, one of them being superstar Nagarjuna. He is playing the role of an artist Anish, a Nandi Astra in the Ayan Mukerji directorial. The actor received praise for his work and fans are demanding a spin-off of his character in the sequel.

Ayan Mukerji has already confirmed a spin-off of Shah Rukh Khan’s character Mohan Bhargav aka Vanarastra in the sequel. Fans are hoping to see a spin-off of the Nandi Astra too.

In an interview with indianexpress.com, Nagarjuna talks about Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’s success, a possible spin-off of his character Anish. Talking about the response to Brahmastra, Nagarjuna said, “ I think fans gave that kind of response to everybody. They responded that way to the film itself. The content is such that it makes you whistle and hoot and it feels good.”

He further opened up on a spin-off of his character, “We are paying attention to all the fan theories. We are enjoying it. It is such a powerful character. I love Nandi Astra. We had to show when Nandi Astra takes over, he shifts from the calm and composed man to someone completely different. So yes, we talked about it because it has such beautiful shades to it. Let’s see. I told Ayan, ‘Make one huge success and we’ll talk about these things.”

Brahmastra features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo as a scientist Mohan Bhargav aka Vanarastra in the flick. Brahmastra marks the beginning of a trilogy. The franchise’s second instalment is titled Brahmastra 2 Dev.
