Veteran actor Nana Patekar’s mother passes away

Veteran actor and Padma Shri awardee Nana Patekar’s mother Nirmala Patekar passed away today. Reportedly, her last rites will be held at Oshiwara’s crematorium late in the evening. Nana’s mother was 99 years old. It is being reported that she passed away due to age-related issues. Nana, along with his family, used to stay near his mother in Murad. It is being said that he was not present at home at the time of his mother’s death.

The actor has walked out of his all projects recently. After the #MeToo allegations levelled against him by actress Tanushree Dutta, he has been keeping a low profile. Nana’s last project in Bollywood was ‘Housefull 4’ which he left mid-way after #MeToo allegations.

Nana though, clearly stated that he will fight the allegations in court. The actor never opened up about the entire episode in front of the media. He stated that his lawyers have refrained him from doing so. However, many Bollywood celebs came forward in support of Nana.

Nana’s B-town friends and colleagues are also expected to attend his mother’s funeral to pay their last respects. Bollywood Bubble offers its condolences to Nana and his family.
