Narcotics Control Bureau summons Arjun Rampal after raiding his house in drugs probe

Earlier today the Narcotics Control Bureau raided Arjun Rampal’s Mumbai residence in their probe of drugs allegations on the film industry. The latest update states that the anti-drugs agency has now summoned Arjun. NCB’s investigation of drugs racket in Bollywood intensified after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The news agency ANI reported that NCB officials have confirmed that Arjun has been summoned. The central agency has asked the actor to appear before them on November 11. Today after their raid at Arjun’s residence the NCB officials have seized the electronic gadgets of the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actor.

This comes a day after film producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife Shabana Saeed was arrested by NCB after they found around 10 grams of marijuana at their residence during the raid. Speaking about Firoz’s wife’s arrest, NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede had said, “We have arrested Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is on.” 

Previously, NCB had arrested Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella’s brother Agisilaos Demetriades in the drugs probe. Agisilaos was once again taken into NCB’s custody after he was granted bail recently.

NCB had also summoned several Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor in connection with the drugs case linked to Sushant’s death case.
