Actress Nargis Fakhri entered Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ playing the romantic lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor. But she did not find much success after making an impressive debut like this. The actress has been one of the few trying to say her Hindi dialogues with finesse while removing the British accent she has. Now when she is returning to Bollywood after a gap of almost two years the struggle has increased having to master one more language.
It’s ‘Marathi’ which is currently on the target list for the actress to learn for her upcoming movie ‘Banjo.’ The film stars Riteish Deshmukh in the male lead and is helmed by Ravi Jadhav who is debuting as a director in the Hindi cinema. ‘Banjo’ is a musical drama reflecting the essence of Marathi culture.
The shoot for this movie has begun from the month of January, where much of the unit consists of Maharashtrians. Ravi Jadhav has been a popular filmmaker in Marathi cinema who has worked with Riteish in past when the actor made his first production venture titled ‘Balak Palak.’ Evidently, the film ‘Banjo’ will see Riteish Deshmukh playing a musician for the first time.
So, hope this ‘Main Tera Hero’ actress gets the perfect accent for speaking Marathi and surprise audiences.
Apart from ‘Banjo’ Nargis will be seen playing one of the female leads in the comic caper ‘Housefull 3’ and will portray the famous 90’s actress Sangeeta Bijlani, former wife of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, in his biopic movie titled ‘Azhar.’
