Naseeruddin Shah has won the hearts of millions with his terrific acting skills and stellar performances. The actor is known for his powerful and brilliant acting performances in the movies. While Naseeruddin Shah is known amongst the best actors in Indian cinema, he revealed he is suffering from a rare condition.
The Gehraiyaan actor opened up about suffering from a rare condition called Onomatomania. Speaking on the YouTube channel Chalchitra Talks, Naseeruddin Shah said, “I suffer from an ailment called onomatomania. I’m not joking. It’s a medical condition. You can check it in the dictionary.”
Shah went on to explain about the rare condition. Talking about the same, he added, “Onomatomania is an ailment in which you keep repeating a word or a phrase, a sentence or a verse or a speech for no reason at all. Except that you like to hear it. I do it all the time so I am never quite at rest. Even when I am sleeping, I am going over some passage I love.”

Meanwhile, Shah was recently seen attending the wedding of his niece, Sanah Kapur. He attended the wedding with his wife Supriya Pathak and his sons. Ratna Pathak is the sister of actress Supriya Pathak. Shahid Kapoor, his wife Mira Rajput, and their kids, Misha and Zain were also present at the wedding celebrations.
On the work front, the veteran actor was last seen in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan. He played the role of Deepika Padukone’s father. The movie released on Amazon Prime Video and is currently streaming on the OTT platform. Shah also featured in the web series titled Kaun Banega Shikharwati. The series also starred Soha Ali Khan, Lara Dutta and Kritika Kamra.
