A few days back, yesteryear actress Asha Parekh‘s autobiography ‘The Hit Girl’ was launched at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. The book throws light not only on Parekh’s journey to fame but also important occurrences in her personal life.
As long as life of a Bollywood diva is concerned, the laymen take immense interest in their love lives and relationships, whether present or past. Asha Parekh is no exception. Through ‘The Hit Girl’, she lets the world know about the only man she ever loved.
“Yes, Nasir Saab (Nasir Hussain) was the only man I ever loved. It would’ve been worthless to write an autobiography if I didn’t write about the people who mattered in my life,” she told a news agency, while talking about it. (Also Read: Asha Parekh opens up on depression and suicidal thoughts!)
Her association with the director resulted in a number of films, including super hit ‘Teesri Manzil’. However, their equation beyond films was as intense. Alas, they were never united!
However, the actress seems not to hold any regrets, neither any bitterness towards Hussain’s family.
“I was never a home-breaker. There was never any ill will between me and Nasir Saab’s family. In fact, I was so happy to see Nusrat (Hussain’s daughter) and Imran Khan (grandson) at my book launch. I feel I’ve lived my life decently and without hurting anyone,” she added.
All is well that ends well!
