National Film Awards 2022 Winners: Ajay Devgn and Suriya win big as they bag Best Actor award

Ajay Devgn expressed how grateful he is for receiving his third national award for Best Actor. The actor said, “’I’m elated to win the Best Actor Award for Tanhaji—The Unsung Warrior at the 68th National Awards along with Suriya who won for Soorarai Pottru. I thank everyone, most of all my creative team, the audience and my fans. I also express my gratitude to my parents & the Almighty for their blessings. Congratulations to all the other winners.’’

Soorarai Pottru featuring Suriya won big at the 68th National Film Awards. The film won the National Film Award in the categories – Best Feature Film, Best Actor and Best Actress. The movie that was directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad won the three out of four major categories at the 68th National Film awards.

Taking to Twitter, Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting made a tweet on Friday morning, announcing that the winners of the National Film Awards 2022 will be announced on the evening of July 22. The winners were chosen by a jury and the report was then shared with the ministry.
