Shweta Nanda’s daughter Navya Naveli gets a DIY graduation; Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek shower praises

It was quite the proud moment for the Bachchan family yesterday as Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda graduated. The whole Bachchan clan had spammed the internet with Navya’s graduation pics on this proud moment. Now, Navya could not have her graduation at her college in NYC, but that didn’t let the spirit dampen a bit as she had a DIY graduation ceremony at home. Check out the pictures below.

Big B took to his twitter to share this proud moment with his fans as he worte, “T 3523 – Grand daughter NAVYA .. Graduation Day .. graduated from College in New York .. Corona cancelled travel & ceremony ..But she wanted to wear gown & cap, staff stitched impromptu gown & cap took pictures at home to celebrate occasion .. such a positive happy attitude .”  Navya looked over the moon in her black cape and graduation cap as she twirled for the camera.

Abhishek also took to his Instagram to share the great news with his fan as she spoke highly of his niece, he worte, “Congratulations my Navya on your graduation! Although due to the lockdown you were not able to celebrate it at your university with your classmates and the home garden had to suffice….Seems like yesterday that we were moving you into your dorm room as a freshman… Wait, strike that. Not “we”, “I”!! (You always managed to make Mamu do the heavy lifting ?). God bless you! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the world. ❤️(sic)”

Finally, mommy Shweta Bachchan was definitely crying to see her gorgeous ‘baby girl’ graduate, she wrote, “Class of 2020 – Navya finished college today and since she and everyone else graduating this year won’t get a ceremony we decided to DIY one. With a chart paper cap and a gown hand stitched from scraps of black tenting. I threw on a Fordham ( her college ) sweatshirt over my PJ’s!! Congratulations baby I love you and am proud of you! Go forth and conquer x ( I’m not crying you’re crying)(sic)”

Navya is the eldest grandchild of Big B, who also has grandson Agastya and granddaughter Aaradhya. Well, we congratulate Navya too on her graduation.
