Navya Naveli immerse grandmother, Ritu Nanda’s ashes in Haridwar with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan 

Rishi Kapoor’s elder sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s mother-in-law, Ritu Nanda passed away on January 14, after suffering from cancer for a long time. B-town celebs including, Kapoor’s and the Bachchan’s were spotted at the funeral ceremony of Nanda recently. Granddaughter, Navya Naveli immerses the remains at Haridwar.

The pictures from the last rites of Ritu Nanda went viral on the internet, where Abhishek Bachchan could be seen handling emotional Navya Naveli. The actor with his father now went to Haridwar and both of them stand strong with Navya Naveli at the immersion of Ritu Nanda’s ashes in the river. Take a look at their pictures here.

After the demise news broke the internet, several Bollywood celebs started sending condolences to the Kapoor and Bachchan family for the great loss. Rishi Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor, and wife, Neetu took to their social media handles and shared the pictures of Ritu on their social media handles.

Amitabh Bachchan too took to his Blog and posted a heartfelt note for late, Ritu Nanda.“An ideal daughter, an ideal sister, an ideal wife, an ideal Mother, an ideal in-law, an ideal Mother-in-Law, and an ideal friend.. has left us for good in a distance we cannot cover.. for now..!!,” wrote the veteran actor remembering Ritu Nanda.
