Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s youngest brother seeks anticipatory bail in child molestation case

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the finest actors we have in Bollywood. On the professional front, Nawaz has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in ‘Serious Men’ however on the personal front, he has been mired with several controversies.

Nawaz’s youngest brother Minazuddin Siddiqui has moved to a special POCSO court in Muzzafarnagar for getting anticipatory bail in a case of alleged molestation of a minor girl in his family eight years ago. Read on to know the details.

According to a PTI report, Minazuddin’s plea will be heard by the court on December 16 i.e today. Back in July this year, Nawaz’s wife had filed a case against him and his family. In her complaint, Nawaz’s wife had alleged molestation of a minor child by one of the three brothers of the actor in 2012 with other family members ignoring his conduct. Following the actor’s wife’s complaint, a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The report further stated that back in October the Allahabad High Court had stayed the arrests of the Nawaz, his two brothers Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin and mother Mehrunissa. However, Minazuddin’s received no such relief from the high court.

Speaking to PTI Minazuddin’s lawyer Nadeem Zafer Zaidi said that he has sought relief from the POCSO court based on the ground that the arrest of other co-accused in the case has already been stayed by the high court.
